Arts Empower
We supplement cultural arts programming offered in our local schools to our local K-12
students by partnering with professional art partners to bring dynamic creative learning
opportunities into Okaloosa, Walton and Bay County area schools. Examples include
educational live theater presented by the Atlantic Coast Theatre for Youth, Paint the
Music a program incorporating visual art, live music and live theater in partnership with
Sinfonia Gulf Coast and special guest speakers such as the Life & Legacy Tour
presentation featuring Wendy Rodrigue, wife of famed “Blue Dog” artist George
Rodrigue.
Arts For All Abilities
The Arts For All Abilities program is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment
where individuals of all abilities can experience and benefit from the arts. This initiative
provides accessible arts education and participation opportunities tailored to the unique
needs of people with disabilities. Through adaptive workshops, inclusive performances,
collaborative projects, and art therapy sessions, we ensure that everyone, regardless of
their abilities, can engage in artistic expression. Our goal is to empower individuals with
disabilities, promote understanding, and enhance their quality of life, enriching our
community's cultural fabric by making the arts accessible to all.
Warrior Arts
A groundbreaking component of our ArtsReach program is Warrior Arts, which
specifically aims to connect veterans and their families with the transformative power of
art. Through tailored workshops and art sessions, such as our popular Zentangle
classes, this initiative uses creative expression as a therapeutic tool, addressing the
unique experiences and challenges faced by military personnel. The Warrior Arts
Initiative is a poignant reminder of art's healing potential, offering a pathway to
communication and recovery for those who have served.
